Trading on a demo account is a safe way to practice without financial risk, but it differs from live trading in key areas:

  1. Psychology
Losses on a demo have no emotional impact. Live trading involves real money and thus real pressure.
  2. Execution
Demo accounts don’t always replicate live slippage, re-quotes, or spread widening during news.
  3. Spreads and Liquidity
Brokers may offer ideal conditions on demo that don’t reflect real market volatility.

Transitioning Tips:

  • Start with small capital.
  • Stick to your plan and avoid emotional reactions.
  • Track your behavior and refine as you go.

Treat your live trading as a professional business to cultivate growth and accountability.
